Confirmed. I am having kids just so one day I can teach a class on instilling common sense in teens. I hope I will be more successful than some...most.
The other day, I handed a tray of food to a kid and asked him to put it in the frig. He ACTUALLY asked me how to open the door. Whoever said there is no such thing as a stupid question obviously did not take into consideration unthoughtful ones.
My catch phrase has become, "Figure it out." I follow with, "I am not being mean, I am just trying to help you become more independant people" (eyes roll).
